The working behind the answer
How to use this calculator
Enter the sales amount eligible under your agreement, a single commission percentage and any fixed component for the same period. If only commission is required, enter zero for the fixed component. The rate is applied to all entered eligible sales.
The formula
Calculate flat-rate commission
Commission total = eligible sales × rate ÷ 100 + fixed component
A worked example
Eligible sales of £10,000 at a 5% rate produce £500 commission. Add a £100 fixed component and the total is £600 before any deductions.
Good to know
This model excludes tiered rates, minimum thresholds, clawbacks, returns and taxes. It does not interpret an employment or sales agreement. Use sales and commission definitions that match the arrangement you are checking.
Common questions
Can the rate be zero?
Yes. The total then consists only of the entered fixed component.
Are tiered commission rates supported?
This version uses one flat rate; calculate tiers separately according to their actual rules.
